From 4th January 2021, the Government have stated that schools are closed to all children except vulnerable and critical worker families. A full curriculum is being  delivered through Google Classroom and a number of online learning platforms such as Pearsons Bug Club, Mathletics and Charanga Music.

The school provides online learning and homework for the children through Google Classroom and a number of online subscriptions such as Mathletics, Times Tables Rockstars and Pearson’s Bug Club. In the event of absence due to quarantine, self isolation, partial school closures or local lockdowns, learning will be delivered through Google Classroom. Communication with parents about learning can be addressed on Google Classroom and urgent or private matters should be directed to the school office email admin@kenmont.lbhf.sch.uk. At the moment, we are unable to accept visitors and parents on site. The latest guidance, policy and procedures will be added here.

Remote Learning

The school is committed to providing learning while children are isolating, during partial school closures and local or national lockdowns. Below are the documents outlining how the school intends to provide this.

Government COVID Catch Up Funding

It has been agreed with the Governing Board that for 2020-21 the catch-up funding will be spent on additional interventions. This will include:

 

  • Additional teachers across Year Three and Four and Year Two and One
  • Focus will be writing and phonics
  • Interventions will concentrate on consolidation of learning

 

The school will assess  the effect of this expenditure on the educational attainment of  pupils against a baseline teacher assessment. This will be followed by further assessments by teachers and subject leaders.
