Another very busy week draws to an end at Kenmont Primary! You should find a Newsletter in your child’s bag today which contains lots of useful information as well as details of which children have been recognised this week for displaying our value of the month – courage.
Year 6 have been away working as farmers in Wales all week. They are due back to school at about 3.15pm. We are really looking forward to hearing about all they have learnt this week. A big thank you to Ms Pascoe-Hale, Ms Hickford and Mr Hubbard for giving up their time to go with them.
Next week is Reading and Storytelling Week and I really look forward to seeing lots of parents and carers in school for our various activities. A programme can be found on the Letters page (and in your child’s book bag). the children will all be participating in an African Storytelling workshop on Wednesday.
Mrs Freitas is working on an upgrade to Parent Mail so we will be sending out letters electronically and to phones again soon. Please make sure your contact details are up to date.
Next Friday (10th October) is non-school uniform day again – please bring in a contribution of £1 tohelp fund the African story telling.
Also, next Friday (10th October) is our Eid party. This will be held in the Middle Hall and is open to all families. Please either contribute a halal dish to share or £2 per plate. Eid Mubarak to all our families celebrating tomorrow.
I will be sending home parent surveys in the next week or to so look out for those – your opinions are very valuable to us.
Please have a look around our website, I have uploaded lots of information this week that you may find useful or interesting. In our Reading for Pleasure section there are now recommended reading lists for all classes.
